I became a American sports fan in 1980s when Channel 4 started showing games and highlights. I remember watching William "the fridge" Perry winning the Super Bowl with the Chicago Bears in 1985. I never had a team back then, but I was hooked on the NFL and American sports. 

I picked my team, the Green Bay Packers after my late dad (who was into Amateur Radio) let me listen to the American Armed Forces Radio. It had NFL games on it. The Packers were on the radio one night and so that's how I picked my team! I have watched and listened to their games ever since then.  I have been lucky enough to watch them win the Super Bowl twice - in 1997 and in 2011.
