Dynamic Kickoff...
It was a cold October night in 2023 when I first was introduced to the game of American football. A random NFL game was being played out on the screens of the bar where I was. It was love at first sight. I was enthralled by the strategy, the physicality and the complexity of the game. It had me hooked from the first moments.
I knew then that I had to learn everything that I could about the sport, history and teams. It became my mission to learn and absorb all that I could. But that was just not enough...
Ballers Meg Begins...
With my new found obsession paired with my love for the Atlanta Falcons, I spent a year watching as many games, documentaries and videos as I could. But then one day even that was not enough. I needed to be able to speak to other people who had as much love for the game as I did.
Being in the UK, I did not know where to start. I turned to social media and found some content creators from all over the world who inspired me to start documenting my own journey with the sport.
Ballers Meg (the TikTok) was born in September 2024 and we have grown from strength to strength ever since. I quickly connected and built a community of very special people who became more like friends than strangers off the internet. From TikTok, to Instagram and now X, the community continues to grow with amazing people like you!
First and Goal...
So from that first moment knowing nothing about the game, to the present day where I eat, sleep and breathe football, things have come a long way.
I have met some incredible people and have had the opportunity to speak on a number of NFL themed podcasts including becoming a regular host on Hurdle the Line for the Asleep At Work Network.
With opportunities arising daily and from all over the world, I am forever grateful to have stumbled across such an amazing community. Next stop... America!
