Bennedict Mathurin

In yet another nail-biting game in the NBA finals series, a renewed Indiana Pacers side showed a masterclass of defensive play. The star of the show however, was Bennedict Mathurin. He came off the bench and lit a fire under the side that was struggling in the first quarter.

Mathurin scored 27 points in total, outscoring every other player on the team. This is a record for a non-starting player in a finals game that has not been seen since 2011.

Mathurin was the 6th overall pick for the Pacers in 2022. The shooting guard turned the whole game round in the second quarter scoring 14 points coming off the bench. It is highly anticipated that Mathurin will continue to make big moves as the rest of the Finals series plays out in the coming days.
