Celtics Corner

Jaylen Brown Surgery
Boston Celtics revealed this week that Jaylen Brown has had arthroscopic surgery to on his knee. In a procedure that took place on Wednesday, the key player had his knee "cleaned out" to ensure he is fit and healthy in the long term. The Celtics have played down the potential consequences of the surgery and feel confident that he will be back to full health by training camp. The star is more important than ever next season in the absence of Jayson Tatum to a torn achilles.
Losing Luke
All signs point to our backup corner, Luke Kornet, leaving in free agency. He has just come off what could be described as the best season of his career but the Celtics tax bill is a problem that needs to be addressed. After such a hot season, the Celtics are preparing for Kornet's departure to unrestricted free agency where it is said that there are other teams already showing interest in the 7'2" star.
Derrick White Goes International
Celtics guard and undeniable fan favourite, Derrick White has announced that he is participating in the all important Basketball Without Borders programme this off season. He is expected to travel to Singapore later this week where he will spend time, along with a host of big name stars and coaches from the NBA, working to bring basketball to the global market. Several camps are planned across the globe. Troy Justice, NBA senior vice president and head of International Basketball Operations released a statement on the programme stating he hopes the camps will "leave a lasting impact on fans and players across the region".
With more and more trade rumours starting to circulate, it is thought that White will be staying put in Boston for the season unless the Celtics receive an offer that they cannot refuse.
