Hungry Dogs Run Faster...

Former Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce came onto my raidar after seeing a clip of his post-Super Bowl speech shortly after becoming interested in the NFL. The tone of humour interjected with moments of sheer inspiration lead to a moment where I suddenly believed in love at first sight.

The more I found out about Kelce, the more I grew to admire and like him. Not only was he one of the most talented players in the league, but he was a great team mate, leader and human being.

His football success, however, was never a given. Selected in the 6th round of the draft by the Eagles in 2011,  he was not necessarily a "noticeable" player during that time. However, he has proven himself and become widely thought of as one of the greatest centres the NFL has ever seen.

In terms of accolades, Jason Kelce is not short of titles. He won Super Bowl LII, was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and a six-time All Pro first team selection throughout his career.

Alongside his brother, Jason hosts The New Heights Podcast covering topics mostly relating to football but also giving insight into the daily life of the Kelce family. It is one of the most popular podcasts on Apple Podcasts.

After announcing his retirement in 2024, Kelce joined ESPN's Monday Night Countdown show covering the build up to Monday Night Football. He has proven a great success on the show but rumours are swirling that he may end up joining the Eagles staff in some capacity in the near future.
