The Weekly Dunk

The conference championships are decided with Oklahoma and Indiana set to face off in the NBA Finals. Their quests to the Holy Grail of basketball have not been easy but the Pacers in particular have finally broken a 25 season wait to get there. This finals series will result in a first time champion either way as neither team have won the title before.

Congratulations are in order for Pascal Siakam as he is awarded MVP of the Eastern conference following the Pacers' victory over the Knicks. He scored 31 points total in the game and had just slight edge over his Tyrese Haliburton to gain the MVP accolade.

In WNBA news, the infamous rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese is showing no signs of cooling off just yet, but with Clark expected to miss the next game, ticket prices have dropped drastically for the June 7th Fever-Sky game.

Meanwhile, as we look to the upcoming NBA Draft (25th-26th June), we are starting to see team strategies unfolding. The Timberwolves have made it clear that they are going to be "aggressive" in building a team around the current star Anthony Edwards. They are looking seriously at a deal on Kevin Durant if rumours are to be believed.
