Cam Newton
After finding out I had a famous QB birthday twin this week, I had to learn all about the legendary Panthers QB, Cam Newton.
To this day, he holds the record for career quarterback rushing touchdowns and he is third in NFL career quarterback rushing yards. Newton's family are no stranger to the NFL. His father played for both the Cowboys and the Bills as safety and his younger brother who was signed as an undrafted free agent to the Jaxsonville Jaguars.
Newton is still a legend in Carolina where he took his team to 4 playoffs, 3 divisional titles and 1 Super Bowl. His legacy there spanned 9 seasons initially, 1 season with the Patriots, then he concluded his career back at the Panthers for a final season.
His most successful season came in 2015 when he took the Panthers to a 15-1 season, appeared in the Super Bowl and won MVP. He was the first black quarterback to win the prestigious award.
Nowadays you can continue to follow Newton in his business ventures including Fellaship bar and restaurant in downtown Atlanta, his clothes line, MADE by Cam Newton. Alongside this, Newton is a motivational speaker.
