This week saw the NBA 2025 draft completed and our huge congratulations must go to Cooper Flagg. He was selected first overall by the Dallas Mavericks. 

It was a family affair for Flagg after he was selected at number 1, as he recalled the moment his name was called. "I looked at my mum. She was crying. And from then, it was just a blur." He went on to say he hugged his dad and brothers next before trying to take in the moment. 

As a result of a Maine local being selected first, the governer has announced that June 25th will now be known as "Cooper Flagg Day." The pride in their talent is clear to see. 

With the finals having only just concluded last week, it is hard to get our heads around all that is coming next season. But one thing is for certain - it will be exciting to see this young rookie starting out his professional career in the NBA.
