QBs and Jerseys

Welcome (or welcome back) to The Meg Zone (NFL)! This is a little corner of the internet where fans of the NFL can gather, talk ball and keep up to date with the latest NFL news. As we countdown to the season starting in September, we have so much going on right now that is worth mentioning! From optional training activities, trades and the rookie class of 2025 showing off what they've got, I have got you covered all the way through the off season and beyond!

Speculation gathers this week around the Pittsburgh Steelers who, at the point of writing, still have no solid starting quarterback. Aaron Rodgers STILL has not given a response to the contract offered and there is some speculation that a one year deal may be the most likely option if he chooses to sign. Other rumours around the QB1 situation over in Pittsburgh include those saying Kirk Cousins may be a viable alternative should Rodgers not make a decision soon.

Tragedy strikes preseason once more for 49ers Ricky Pearsall who has injured his hamstring and is out of all training activities for the forseeable schedule. Last season, Pearsall suffered a much worse injury after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest rendering him out of action until week 7.

Jersey sale statistics across the UK have been published showing a surprising statistic - Travis Hunter, Jacksonville Jaguars rookie and overall second pick of the 2025 draft, has sold the most jerseys. He is accompanied on the list by Baltimore Ravens QB, Lamar Jackson, Buffalo's Josh Allen and Commanders' Jayden Daniels. Shockingly, no Travis Kelce or Patrick Mahomes on that top 10 list.

After lots of speculation, the wait is finally over for us UK based fans who wish to get tickets to the London games as the general sale started on 29th May. UK fans are less than impressed, however, with the astronomical price hikes as well as the standard issue whereby Ticketmaster does what it does best - breaks during a massive sale. Personally, I will not be forking out £180+ for a ticket to see a team I don't support. Much as I would love to see a game, that is just way too steep for me.
