The Weekly Dunk
OKC Thunder Tie it Up
After 4 games of the series completed, OKC win the 4th to level the field and go 2-2 in the finals. In a world-class game of pace and defense during game 3, the Pacers initially took to a 2-1 lead before being brought back down to earth in a masterclass from SGA in the fourth quarter of the 4th game. All eyes turn to game 5 on Monday where, once again, one of the two teams will take the lead.
Knicks in a Twist
The New York Knicks are in a predicament after firing long term coach Tom Thibodeau last week. Their initial interest turned to Dallas' Jason Kidd but Dallas put up the barriers and rejected their request to speak to him. Two more teams have turned them down this week as they turned firstly to Ime Udoka of Houston and then to Chris Finch of Minnesota.
Current names associated with the job are favourite Mike Brown, Johnnie Bryant (Cavs associate head coach) and Taylor Jenkins. Time will tell who will be taking over the prestigious coaching gig in New York.
New Home for KD
Finally this week, trade talks ramp up with Phoenix Suns Kevin Durant. It seems inevitable that he will be leaving the Suns but there is no destination set as yet. Front runners for his landing spot include the Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
