Jay Bilas Predicts Celtics Crash Out

This week, I was able to speak to ESPN NBA analyst, Jay Bilas, ahead of the 2025 NBA draft which kicks off on Wednesday 25th June. His take on the Celtics' draft plan was that no matter what happens, they are going to struggle following Tatum's season ending Achilles tear. See the full interview below.

Winner Takes All

A nail-biting finals series is over. Game 7 decides all tonight as OKC Thunder faced Indiana Pacers for one final time this season. At the time of writing, Tyrese Haliburton has been taken down with a further injury to his leg and won't be returning to the game. It was clear the level of emotion and pain the star was experiencing as he hit the floor writhing in agony.

OKC take the win beating the Pacers 103-91. SGA wins Finals MVP after scoring 29 points, 12 assists and 5 rebounds. The team were up against it in the final despite the Pacers missing their star player.

A good game of basketball all round, and that same bittersweet feeling we all get each year - the season is over but the excitement, at least for now, can be turned towards the draft that starts this week.

Landmark Trade Deal Done

Last week, I reported that Kevin Durant would be leaving the Phoenix Suns and today that has been confirmed. The Suns have traded KD to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, 2025 1st round pick and 5 2nd round picks.

Early 2026 Championship Predictions

Bookies have released odds on next season's champions already with the Houston Rockets' chances soaring after the KD trade deal. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the most likely teams (in order of most to least likely to win the 2026 title) are:

1. Oklahoma City Thunder

2. Houston Rockets

3. Cleveland Cavaliers

4. New York Knicks

5. Indiana Pacers (although this may change due to Hali's injury).
